Company
At Boardwalk we create high quality, environmentally responsible furniture, products and installations from folded cardboard.

Boardwalk aims to deliver innovative cardboard product solutions that add value along the entire product chain from design through to disposal.
Our Inspiration
Boardwalk began with its roots in Finland, the country of paper. Surrounded by forests, naturally we love wood-based materials derived from nature. Boardwalk was inspired out of a desire to make high quality, sustainable solutions for events, exhibitions, trade shows and festivals in volume.
Team
Boardwalk is made up of a team of creatives; designers, architects, cardboard engineers, and graphic designers. Our production facility is in Finland, utilising the nationwide network specialising in cardboard manufacture and print.
Boardwalk was founded by designer Hanna Laikola who was never interested in the toy, but the box it
came in.​​​
Cardboard

Boardwalk materials are tested and approved for high performance. Cardboard is stronger than what is generally perceived and can withstand more than is usually required. Cardboard has outstanding printability and appearance making it incredibly versatile with a wide range of printing options for perfect results and exceptional colour rendering.​
Strenghth
Our products are built with a grade of cardboard that has great strength, is thin and crisp to fold and can be reused time and time again. Our larger structures use lightweight, recycled honeycomb board, lasting for years.
Manufacture
We use innovative, state of the art printing and manufacturing methods for an exceptional print finish. Boardwalk products are designed to be easy to assemble. The designs are such that the material, our style of folding and shape combined, will deliver a quality product from all aspects.
